In this talk

AI coding assistants (like Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) are powerful, but often struggle with vague prompts, leading to frustrating loops and inaccurate MVPs. Why? They lack the inherent context and structured planning humans bring. This 15-minute demo introduces CreateMVPs.app, the first open-source tool designed to bridge this gap. We'll showcase the workflow: transforming a simple app idea into a comprehensive set of planning documents (PRDs, tech specs, user flows) that provide the crucial "blueprint" AI needs. Learn how feeding structured plans instead of just prompts leads to faster, more accurate AI-assisted development.

Bridging the Gap from Prompts to Production

In the rapidly evolving field of AI-driven coding, the challenge of transforming vague user prompts into functional, production-quality code remains significant. Rohit Ghumare, in his engaging presentation, addressed this challenge by introducing CreateMVPs.app, a tool designed to provide AI coders with the necessary blueprints to optimize coding processes. He acknowledged the existing excitement in the community, as evidenced by the tool's popularity in developer newsletters.

Rohit emphasized that traditional AI coding assistants often stumble when faced with unstructured prompts, leading to incomplete or incoherent code outputs. He illustrated that while AI can automate a significant portion of coding, the lack of architectural vision in AI-generated outputs can lead to substantial manual intervention.

The Evolution of CreateMVPs.app

The inception of CreateMVPs.app arose organically from Rohit's personal development workflows, particularly his necessity for structured documentation in prototyping. Recognizing this as a common challenge among developers, Rohit open-sourced his documentation templates, encouraging community contributions and enhancing transparency.

CreateMVPs.app serves as a robust solution by generating comprehensive blueprint files, such as Product Requirements Documents (PRD), backend and frontend guidelines, and application flows. By using these blueprints, AI models can produce more coherent and high-quality project outputs.

Overcoming Limitations of AI Coding Assistants

Rohit highlighted that inputting vague ideas into AI tools typically yields suboptimal results, lacking in architectural and contextual detail. He argued that AI tools struggle to process unstructured prompts effectively, leading to incomplete implementations. To tackle this, CreateMVPs.app structures detailed plans using Gemini 2.5 Pro, which significantly enhances the AI's ability to follow a coherent process.

He shared practical examples, such as a Reddit demo, illustrating how the community's frustrations with existing tools like Cursor can be alleviated using structured documentation. By automating the creation of detailed blueprints, CreateMVPs.app reduces the typical 150-step manual process to a streamlined workflow.

Practical Walkthroughs and Community Engagement

Rohit provided practical demonstrations on how to leverage CreateMVPs.app for generating app blueprints, which can then be utilized in AI-powered tools like Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT. He demonstrated that with proper blueprints, these tools could generate comprehensive architectures, including backend and frontend code, thus bypassing the pitfalls of vague prompts.

He also addressed integration and maintenance challenges, recommending the use of requirement and status files to ensure consistency and manage deviations through "changes.md" files. This approach combines flexibility with discipline, maximizing productive collaboration with AI.

The Open-Source Advantage

A strong advocate for open-source solutions, Rohit stressed that CreateMVPs.app is fully open source, inviting feedback and modifications from the community. He concluded with a powerful message: "If you define [your requirements] really well, your tools will understand really well," encapsulating the importance of precise planning and structured documentation in AI coding.
